Sofie, sippy cup, six months! Is this normal?I'm not sure but Sofie is getting on splendidly! Okay, so I'm not real sure if she is actually "drinking" from the cup...but heck she holds it and knows to put the darn thing to her mouth! Mama's happy with that! Baby steps!

She just woke up and still a bit groggy from not sleeping too good the night before. She had her six months shots and ran a little fever but pulled through like a champ!Sofie's six month check up:
Sofie has literally doubled her weight since birth- 16 pounds. She is now 27 inches long and in the 50th percentile of the weight group. Minus still having a clogged tear duct she is happy and healthy! She has fully recovered from her head injury and chuggin' along to her seven month!
Some exciting news for us, come October she will be starting daycare! It's just for two days a week. Nick and I feel it will expose her other kids, sharing and begin her socialization skills. I will admit, it will be hard in the beginning but will only get easier with time. At least that's what I'm telling myself.
I have been trying to get Sofia in the routine of sleeping in her crib. I'll admit, she has been sleeping with Nick and I most of the nights. I've been reading all of the different "methods" of getting her to sleep by herself and still not fully into a routine. Well, I've come to my limits. I can't take the 2 a.m feeding anymore.
So, starting...we'll just say soon I am going to dive right into the big pool of nightly rituals. I'm nervous I will become easily frustrated and give in to her cries. Deep down inside, I know I have to do this or she will be a toddler and still climbing into our bed to go "night, night". This will be a nightmare! This is the best thing for EVERYONE!
I'll keep you posted on my progress.
